Before meeting Paul I was considering re-homing our Labrador who was around 6 months old. Bronco was destroying items and possessions in the home and this was causing the whole family so much distress. After meeting Paul and explaining our issues we started training immediately. Paul was extremely easy to work with, friendly and reassured me through the whole process and we are well on our way to having a well behaved and obedient young dog who has settled into family life. We now couldn’t imagine life without Bronco – all thanks to Paul, his professionalism and dedication.
I asked for Paul’s help as my whippet Mina was barking and acting aggressively towards others dogs. I had to take her for walks first thing in the morning or late at night. That way we didn’t come into contact with other dogs. I had one to one training with Paul and I can’t believe the difference. I can now walk her without being afraid of her attacking other dogs. To be fair, I needed more training than the dog did! It is now a joy to walk my dog.
Paul helped us with our hyperactive, crazy cocker spaniel, Ginger! He was very understanding of our needs and expectations and helped Ginger become a confident and obedient puppy. More importantly Paul helped us realise our own behaviours and how they impacted on our puppy. We will be forever grateful for the help!
Poppy our 3 legged cross terrier was very wary of people and unable to go within 50 yards of another dog. She is now a lovely well behaved member of the family thanks to Paul’s training and we are now able to lead a calm life. We can’t thank Paul enough for working so hard to allow Poppy to accept other dogs and would recommend him to anyone.
Our Romanian rescue dog, Luna, arrived to us at the age of 5 months an absolute bundle of nerves. She was fearful of the outside world, reacted badly to strangers and other dogs. Paul was recommended to us. We were impressed by the fact he asked us to fill in a questionnaire to find out our expectations. He then assessed the situation in an introductory session. We had one to one training where Paul worked with us to give confidence to both Luna and ourselves. He had a great deal of patience and empathy for the problems exhibited. Paul had a successful impact on Luna’s behaviour, making her relaxed and she is now far more comfortable with meeting strangers.
I contacted Paul to help with our 18 month old Great Dane Ben who was pulling like a train on the lead and behaving over excitedly when meeting new people or other dogs. The progress we made in such a short period of time was remarkable, Ben is the size of a small horse but now behaves so calmly when out and is able to greet both people and dogs in a much more settled manner.
Among other things, my German shepherd puppy had a guarding issue over his poo where he would become very aggressive when it came to clearing up. Following a consultation and some advice from Paul we were able to overcome this very unusual issue.
After 30+ years of taking on and living with rescue dogs I met Hugo. He was a 6 month old GalgoX. Usually I take on dogs with various issues and given time they become content members of the family…..not Hugo. Things started well but slowly more and more undesirable behaviours started to appear, Hugo was becoming more and more reactive to other dogs and became impossible to walk on my own without a Halti, muzzel and harness. I needed help and was so fortunate to be given Paul’s contact details from a local dog walker.
I was pleased at the amount of information requested before we met then even more impressed when Paul came to meet Hugo and my other hounds. We started working with Hugo that day, small manageable changes were introduced Paul explained clearly the benefits of each one and the expected results. It was clear to Paul that Hugo was a”long term project” which took pressure off both myself and Hugo.
Slowly and surely we started to see improvements during walks and with Paul’s guidance we built on these changes, I am now able to walk Hugo without a muzzle, he can be let off lead in quiet areas, he can tolerate strange dogs being much closer to him and is generally a much happier calmer dog who now enjoys his walks. I can’t thank Paul enough for his realistic, clear and kind approach to both Hugo and myself.
I can recommend Paul with complete confidence. He worked with us and our two highly energetic Border collie puppies and gave us the tools to bring them up as confident well behaved dogs. Paul has an excellent understanding of dog and owner behaviour and our dogs love him!
